GLOBE Series

Globe Series

Every two years GLOBE brings together 10,000 government decisions makers, corporate executives, and environmental technology innovators from around the world to discuss current trends and showcase technology solutions to the world's environmental problems. The event consists of a 3 day Trade Fair; 30 concurrent sessions; Welcome reception and Awards Gala; sponsored lunches, breakfasts and close to 200 functions hosted within four venues during "GLOBE Week" - 10,000 Attendees and 40,000 of exhibit space (net).

MACI has been the contracted Operations Director for GLOBE since 1996, and had completed GLOBE 2012 in March.

This launch was produced to unveil a brand new, high end line of designer faucets manufactured out of Montreal, to Riobel's Western Canadian distributors. World Conference on Sport and the Environment

Every two years, the International Olympic Committee in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme hosts a World Conference on Sport and the Environment. The conference brings together the worlds of sport and environment to share knowledge and advance practices related to sport and its relationship with communities and the environment.

In March of 2009, as Vancouver prepared to Host the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the 8th World Conference on Sport and the Environment was held with a theme of 'Innovation and Inspiration' and a subtheme, 'Harnessing the Power of Sport for Change'. Olympic athletes, corporate and environmental leaders, and producers of major sporting events were there to share their expertise on how sport is embracing the challenge of reducing its environmental footprint for social, economic, and environmental benefit.

World Urban Forum

World Urban Forum, WUF III, was the third session in a series created by the United Nations. The Government of Canada hosted the event, which took place in Vancouver from June 19-23 2006. Rapid urbanisation and its impact on communities, cities, economies and policies were the most pressing issues explored at this biennial gathering. Meeting together were representative from a multitude of different non-government organizations, community-based organisations, urban professionals, academics, to governments, local authorities and national and international associations of local governments.
